A propos de cette activités
You'll start Food Tour in the morning, while local 'Dolac' farmer's market is busy and locals scout around to find freshest ingredients for lunch or dinner. As a 'food soldier' in a small group you'll ambush them, so you can get first-hand experience of Croatian eating and drinking traditions and habits. Your guide will point you to each stage of buying food there, and why going to 'Platz' (local name for Market) is social event, not just shopping experience (Mediterranean coffee culture!).
When you meet your guide, first stop will be boutique cheese shop at 'Dolac' market, where you'll sample Croatian hard cheeses (cow, goat and sheep). At the market you'll tour ground floor (dairy, meat and bakery) and open-air part (fruit/vegetables). And have a peak at fish market, plus local hand-crafts section.
‘Marenda’ ili ‘Gablec’? Two words from Croatian language that describe - brunch. Fried sardines or Štrukli? You will decide and choose one to try on.
Next stop is family owned winery in the heart of the city. There your food journey continues with platter of local prosciutto, sausages, olive oil and glasses of white and red wine to pair with them.
While leaving the winery and walking to next food point, Zagreb historical landmarks will be on display. You're going now to a typical local eatery, where tasting of traditional meal of North-west Croatia will be organized.
Well, it's still not The End, in Croatia people like to end with something sweet and coffee, so you should respect local tradition. By sitting in local pastry shop and enjoying dessert/coffee, guide will round up the story of Croatian cuisine and answer your question, or recommend where to go for another meal in Zagreb.
So, to conclude as we started, we need you - hungry and curious!
