Georgetown Food Tour
3h30
A propos de cette activités
This food tour introduces you to the historic yet chic charm of Georgetown, an area that pre-dated Washington DC. You will be transported on this 3.5 hour food tour across 250+ years of history and enjoy flavors closely connected to the Northwest DC neighborhood. This tour will bring together progressive, high-end cuisine, with long standing DC institutions. From restaurants and shops running before prohibition, to swanky hotspots. This food tour brings together some of the best this area has to offer. Your food tour may include the following (subject to changes):
-Vegetarian local farm fresh hand made tacos-Korean delicacies
-European house made dishes paired with wine
-Hand crafted specialty pies from a favorite local DC bakery
Long before it became popular by the Kennedy's and the home of high end retail and fashion, Georgetown was a working class port city predating the Federal City of Washington DC. Its roots are still very much alive and can be seen in the red brick town homes and turn of the century factories that are found throughout the area. We will finish up our journey by crossing the historic C&O canal and enjoying a sweet ending and drink from a bakery that originated as a printing house.

You may want to skip breakfast for this tour (which I did) and still could not finish food from the two final restaurants we visited. Last restaurant of the tour...I had to get my pies to go! Well worth the monies and you also get info/sightseeing around Georgetown that is not food related. Thank you.
Robert was so enjoyable to listen to, knowledgable, funny; and the whole tour was a great experience. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time with our tour guides John and Susan. I hope I have their names right. I apologize if I don't. The restaurants, food and local sights were amazing. Others that joined us were delightful. I recommend it for those that aren't familiar with Georgetown. It's a nice way to be exposed to the charming and historic area. We were fortunate to have our tour guides as they were very nice and informative.
This tour is a great combination of History and Food in Georgetown. Suzanne was knowledgeable and tour attendees added even more commentary for a good experience. Our food stops for Mexican, Korean, French and Pie samplings were all very good, friendly and did not feel rushed. We had a good sized meal by the time we finished, and we look forward to more tours with this company in the future.
Amazing tour MUST go on an empty stomach. Great food!!!
