A propos de cette activités
You will be picked up by your private chauffeured service and taken through the beautiful scenery towards the Amarone winery based in the heart of Valpolicella valley, just 30 min away from Verona.
The wine estate is situated inside an historic villa, and is surrounded by a peaceful landscape. This building is an original example of Venetian Renaissance architecture, among the finest in the province of Verona.
Tour the 16th-century villa to see its beautiful courtyard, a lion’s mouth fireplace, Murano chandeliers, frescoes and gargoyles wherever you look. This was where noble guests came to enjoy the beauty of nature while relaxing and reading ancient Roman poets and authors. It represents a place designed for peace and tranquility for both body and soul, something central to the Italian humanistic tradition. At the same time this villa was at the center of the surrounding agricultural industry. Visit the wine cellar to learn how the prized Amarone wine is made.
Taste some delicious dishes of the Valpolicella valley's high quality products and natural ingredients during a traditional lunch in the ancient dining rooms of the villa. You will taste several kinds of Amarone and learn to recognize it by its slightly spicy bitterness, which is reminiscent of roasted almonds.
The name of this wine derives from the Italian word 'amaro,' which means 'bitter.' At the same time it is so fine and warm that it will capture your heart with the first sip. You will learn the traditional methods of wine-making that have been strictly adhered to since ancient times. In the winery, you see the best versions of Amarone, which is not only one of the greatest wines of Italy, but a world classic.
Relax as you're transferred back to your departure point at the end of the trip.

This was an amazing tour. The grounds were lovely, the villa amazing. The lunch was very good, and was in a beautiful setting. Our tour guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. Of course the wine was spectacular too!! I would highly recommend this private tour to all!! One of our favorite tours on this trip to Italy!
