La ville sicilienne de Corleone fut le lieu de naissance de nombreux personnages de Le Parrain, mais Corleone était trop développée au début des années 70 pour être utilisée comme lieu de tournage. Le réalisateur Francis Ford Coppola a opté pour les villes traditionnelles de Savoca et Forzà d'Agrò, juste à l'extérieur de Taormine. Commencez par un ramassage au départ d'hôtels sélectionnés dans la province de Taormine ou de Messine pour votre circuit sur Le Parrain de 4 heures, au cours duquel vous pourrez découvrir par vous-même où des scènes des plus grands films de tous les temps ont été tournées.
Installez-vous dans votre confortable autocar et voyagez le long de la côte sicilienne jusqu'à Savoca. Descendez pour flâner dans les rues de villes minuscules nichées dans les collines. Là, vous visiterez l'église de Santa Maria degli Angeli et entrerez dans la sinistre crypte du couvent des Frati Minori Cappuccini. Faites-vous prendre en photo au bar Vitelli, le bar légendaire où Michael Corleone a demandé au père d'Apollonia de rencontrer sa fille.
Profitez au maximum de 30 minutes de temps libre dans le village pour explorer le site à votre guise ou alors détendez-vous pendant une pause-café (à vos frais) avant de vous rendre à votre prochaine étape : Forzà d'Agrò.
Le sentier pédestre en pierre et les bâtiments traditionnels de cette ville médiévale perchée sur les collines était la toile de fond idéale pour la série des Parrains. Ici, vous visiterez l'église qui apparaît dans plusieurs scènes du film Le Parrain et Le Parrain II, suivi d'un peu de temps libre pour explorer à votre guise.
Remontez dans le car et rendez-vous à votre hôtel de la province de Messine ou de Taormine en début de soirée.

This tour was absolutely incredible in so many ways! Our tour guide was super friendly and so knowledgeable about the Godfather films and history. She also told us great stories on the orgins of the Sicilian Mafia and history of Sicily. We actually got to meet one of the actors from the original film that lives in the town of Savoca. If you like the Godfather then definitely book this tour!
Two beautiful locations but the guide was very brief as if he didn’t want to be working that day more info on the godfather the movie please if I didn’t know the film I wouldn’t of had a clue very disappointed more so if was gonna be wanna of the highlights I was looking forward too
For hardcore fans like me of the "Godfather" trilogy, this tour is a must-do. To correct some misleading reviews, our tour guide spoke pretty good English, although with an accent, and the cites we visited were open despite it's being Sunday. The tour guide was not as knowledgeable concerning the films as she should have been. (She misidentified a scene from Part II as if it were from Part I, evidently not realizing that Part II is a prequel as well as a sequel to Part I.) But so what. The traffic jam heading back to Taormina was frustrating, but again, so what. The tour is a must for Godfather-philes..
This was a very good tour and generally an excellent value for the cost. There are multiple companies offering Godfather Tour options. This tour was one of the more economically-priced ones, but I don't feel that it was inferior in any way to the more expensive options from other companies. The guide was very knowledgeable about Sicilian history and provided not only extensive details about the filming of The Godfather films in Sicily, but also Sicilian history in general. She also provided some history about Savoca and Forza d'Agro, which I appreciated. We spent much more time in Savoca than Forza d'Agro, so our time in the latter was exceptionally brief. Time goes by very quickly, however, and you do go through both towns at a brisk pace, with lots of walking.
Brilliant !!! Want to go back and do it again. Great scenery and wonderful to see the movie locations.
Our guide had a good knowledge of the area and the films. Ciuld have done with another 1/2 hour at Savoca but well worth a visit.
Fun tour. Tour guide spent too much time on her phone with personal phone calls. could have given more information.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. What the lady guide knows, not only about The Godfather tour, but about the area we travelled through, is very knowledge able. She really takes you into the atmosphere of old Sicily. The people of these villages are also very welcoming, and friendly. You see more than you should, and take in the history of these areas. If you can only do 1 tour, I suggest this one.
