Learn about the story behind its founder and patron saint of Bulgaria - St. John of Rila. Lunch in a local restaurant serving freshly caught trout - Rila monastery trout is famous all around the country. Short hike to the original place of the monastery - The cave of St. John of Rila or walk to the natural sandstone Stob pyramids. Drive to a local winery for tasting some local wine.
