Sawasdee! Meet with our Guide at your hotel in Phuket for a day discovering Phuket.
We visit "CHINO-PORTUGAL ARCHITECTURE BUILDING", the old buildings situated in Phuket town certainly represent the prosperity of the culture. These old buildings have been constructed more than hundred years since the mining business was popular. The architectural style is European mixed with Chinese modern called “Sino-Portuguese” style; it is often a medium single or two-storied building with more area inside than the wideness. From the tiles, doors, perforated windows to other details, they are all influenced by Chinese and European style mixed together.
Then we visit "THE CHIN PRACHA RESIDENCE" is the first Sino-Portuguese house in Phuket or known as Ang Mo Lao. Nowadays this residence with a beautiful Phuket architectural style is open for the public. There are many interesting traits in this building such as louver windows and incised golden door panels. There are open spaces for ventilation purpose and a small pool in the central area built according to the Chinese style. The residence is decorated extravagantly with imported Italian tiles, inherited furniture from China, pearl-inlaid furniture, antique beds, a dining table set from Penang, other precious decoration, refined equipment and photos showing memories of this house. The atmosphere of this residence is then filled with charming feeling from the past reflecting perfectly the mixture between Thai, Chinese and western cultures. This residence is then considered as one of the precious cultural heritages of Phuket.
After exploring then we alighted for lunch, after lunch we proceed to "PHUKET THAIHUA MUSEUM" Housed in a charming 1930s British-colonial-style mansion that was formerly the oldest Chinese-language school in Phuket. Spread over the two stories are 16 galleries portraying the island’s Chinese ancestry and Phuket Town’s growth to prosperity.
Then we go to "THE PEAK OF KHAO RANG HILL" is the great spot to soak up the panoramic views of Phuket Town and beyond, especially from the deck of Tung-ka Cafe where you can enjoy the views together with a cup of local milk tea. Khao Rang is also a recreation park locals usually come to work out in the morning and afternoon time as well as pay respect the bronze statue of Phraya Ratsada Nupradit, the great Governor of Phuket during the reign of King Rama V, who brought Phuket wealth and fortune.
After that we visit "Laem Phromthep Viewpoint" is said to feature the most beautiful sunsets in Thailand.
