Journey to one of the most famous archaeological sites in the world, the stunning city of Pompeii. Your tour begins with a comfortable, air-conditioned coach ride from Rome. On the way, you’ll hear a commentary from your tour coordinator introducing you to Pompeii’s history. Upon arrival, you will be escorted passed the crowds directly to the entrance with your Skip the Line ticket.

From there, you’ll be given three hours of free time to discover the site on your own. On your independent exploration, you’ll be able to study your surroundings with ease. You’ll instantly feel transported to the past as you survey the remains of the city of Pompeii and examine the homes and buildings that once housed the lively city’s inhabitants. You’ll also witness detailed frescoes, beautiful mosaics and the remnants of ancient fast food restaurants. Mt. Vesuvius is also visible in the distance, and the chilling results of its eruption are littered around the city.

The famed death casts show the extent of destruction that occurred during the eruption. Fortunately, the city has been very well-preserved over time under layers of volcanic dust. Once you’ve taken in everything about Pompeii’s history, you’ll return to your designated meeting point and from there, travel back to Rome on your coach.
