Commencez votre journée par un transfert depuis votre hôtel de Rome. L'heure de départ dépend de vous, mais les transferts en début de matinée sont recommandés pour éviter la foule plus tard dans la journée.
Avec votre chauffeur-guide, vous voyagerez au cœur de la Rome antique pour admirer le Colisée. Écoutez les explications de votre guide pour en apprendre plus sur le célèbre amphithéâtre et les horribles combats de gladiateurs qui ont eu lieu à l'intérieur de ses murs. Si vous souhaitez entrer, payez l'entrée directement et passez 45 minutes à visiter à votre guise.
Votre prochain arrêt est aux catacombes romaines, un enchevêtrement de tunnels sous la ville de Rome où les premiers chrétiens enterraient leurs morts. Rendez-vous dans les souterrains afin d'explorer quelques-uns d'entre eux lors d'une visite guidée de 45 minutes.
Retour au-dessus du sol, vous visiterez la voie Appienne, l'ancienne voie romaine qui reliait autrefois la capitale à la côte. Elle est considérée comme l'une des premières routes construites par l'homme. Continuez vers le Circus Maximus où les Romains faisaient des courses de chars, et contemplez ce qui en reste en admirant la vue sur le mont Palatin.
Vous aurez des conseils sur les lieux pour déjeuner, puis vous reprendrez votre excursion dans la ville. Visitez le Panthéon et les marches espagnoles, puis arrêtez-vous pour jeter une pièce dans la fontaine de Trevi pour vous porter bonheur.
Votre excursion se termine ensuite par un dépôt à l'hôtel.

This was an amazing experience with an amazing guide sorry I cannot recall his name - such a shame I have misplaced it. Because we were taking this tour in mid August, the streets of Rome were pretty quiet and we were able to get around with ease. Our driver was able to take us places he said he would not have been able to reach at other times of the year. The vehicle was safe, cool and very comfortable. There were 4 adults travelling and some had mobility challenges and all of us move slower than when we were younger. Our driver was patient and very accommodating. I would highly recommend this private tour! The only way to go!!

One of 2 best tours of trip. We were 15 minutes late getting to the guest house in Rome from the ship. Call the company and they were very nice. Said they would call our driver/guide Josef and he would wait for us. When we got to the guest house, Josef was waiting and it was a good thing. We would not have found the guest house inside a courtyard and not very well marked. And no one answered the buzzer. Josef called and they said check in was not for an hour, but they would come check us in. Once we checked in and put our luggage in the room, we were off. Josef asked what we wanted to see, explained what we could not Catholic holiday so no Vatican city and what we could in the time allotted. Then he drove us to all the highlights--pantheon, Colosseum he had the tickets for us so we went straight in, Circus Maximus and the Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Spanish steps and the Borghese Villa and gardens. At each stop, he would take us to a convenient place and explain the history and construction of the monuments. He had a wonderful book that showed what they looked like in Roman times and now. Then he would explain the meeting time and location and let us explore on our own for a while. Josef was very knowledgeable and helpful. We got to see everything we wanted except the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica because of the Catholic holiday. Could not have seen all that without Josef and his van. Can't rate and recommend this tour hightly enough.
