Francesca was a wonderful guide with plenty of local knowledge, and provided some humor along the way. The evening was fun and enjoyable and she made us feel like one big family by the end of the night! Dietary requirements were accommodated well, in a consistent manner.
Our guide for this evening tour, Raluca, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the various foods and wines she was introducing us to. We had tastings of cheeses (including buffalo mozzarella) and hams, followed by larger amounts of pizzas, pastas, and finally, gelato, over a 3-hour period. Excellent wines were served with most of the foods. There was plenty to eat! I was happy to have participated in this opportunity to visit some excellent venues that the locals frequent.
The tour was very good and the attitude of our guide was outstanding. It was easy to tell that she enjoyed her job which only made the experience better. She made sure all were having fun and included in the discussions. Well done!
Really enjoyed this walking food tour. So much food selection and our guide was awesome! Such a wealth of info!
This was a small group, 4-hour food and wine evening. Our guide, Luca, was fabulous. She was knowledgeable and friendly. The selections included meats and cheeses (some artisanal), wines, pizza, pasta, calamari, and gelato. I highly recommend this tour for the quality of the selections and for the convenience of not having to find these places ourselves.
Fantastic way to start a Rome visit. The tour guide , Domenico, was amazing, very knowledgeable about the local area and food samplings, describing in detail history and origins as well as tips on how to spot the official versus imitations. Food portions were generous so make sure you are hungry. Plenty of variety and truly Italian!!
Our guide, Ottavia, showed us some great cheeses, meats, pizza and wines. We spent an enjoyable evening in the Prati district, tasting a variety of Italian foods and wines.
What a wonderful food tour this was and well worth the price. We sampled fresh cheeses with wine, tastings of various aged prosciutto, Italian pizza with different toppings, dinner with ravioli and gnocci, and for dessert double dips of gelato. We also had wine and champagne to go with the tastings. Our tour guide, Chelsea, was marvelous! The group bonded quickly under her and she was very well-versed in where the food comes from, how it was made, and the history of each place we visited. Absolutely wonderful evening! Don't miss this tour in high end Prati district!
This tour was fantastic. Lucca our guide was very personable and very knowledgeable about all the foods we were sampling. wWe had a nice sized group of 11 diners and we walked from shop to shop tasting an i9ncredible selection of gourmet foods. The wine poured freely and there was no shortage of food choices. I highly recommend this tour for any foodie visiting Rome. The tastings and the explanations of regional sourcing, etc. were incredible. Grazie Lucca.
Absolutely loved our guide Marlo! What a wonderful experience! Enjoyed everything about it especially the wine. Still trying to find the Sinibbio Montepulciano d'abruzzo - obsessed with it.
We arrived in Rome mid afternoon and decided to spend our first evening tasting the sites. Prati is out of the mainstream and a place for locals. Our small group had a wonderful time walking and tasting the Roman specialties of cuisine. Our tour guide was remarkably colorful and entertaining as he taught us history and food! The food was excellent but our guide was the best part of the evening...he was amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
"Jess", our tour guide was very knowledgeable, humorous and a great hostess. An awesome excursion and highly recommended by the two couples in our group. Learned a lot about cheeses, meats and soooo much more.
The Roman Food Tour led by Louisa was fantastic and exceeded all of my expectations. It was very insightful, but at the same time an incredibly fun experience. Louisa was a lovely tour guide and was very delightful. I loved that she took us to spots that weren’t in touristy areas and felt very authentic. All of the food and wine was delicious. Thanks again for a lovely tour!
Marla was AMAZING as a guide. Her passion for food and history is contagious. Be hungry when you go. All high end, generious portions., no junk!!!!! Would highly recommend!!!!!!!!!
The Rome Food Tour by Sunset around Prati District should not be missed! Our guide, Luca, took us to local places where we ate amazing foods paired with delicious wines. Luca was so informative about the food, wine and surrounding area. We had a blast hanging out with her and all of the other new friends we met on the tour. It was a fun filled evening my husband and I will never forget. "Cin-cin!"
A side of Rome not often seen. Franchescia was one of the best: knowledgeable, a good communicator and well organized. She organized a speculator tour including an eclectic range of food experiences unique to Rome and Italy: cheese, truffles, rare basaltic, over the top pizza, pasta, and pasta. The wine sides were well selected. A great experience
Francesca was our guide and so delightful! I had looked to other tour companies who told me “a Prati food tour was not possible on Sundays because things were closed” - well due to their relationships certain shops opened solely for our tour group! So many fantastic items and amazing wine - we are big eaters and there was more then enough food. We stopped for cured meats, cheeses, an amazing pizza place, more cheese, fantastic pasta with champagne to celebrate both our anniversary and another attendees birthday....I can’t say enough things about how truly memorable this was. Will highly recommend to anyone who asks.
Great variety of food - some better than others. The last restaurant where we had the pasta was not very good. the pizza place was phenomenal. I loved walking around the city. The tour could have ended 45 minutes sooner. Too many personal stories from our lovely tour guide.
I really enjoyed the Rome Food Tour and Morgan was very personable and informative. The food was great. Way more than one person needs. The dinner and dessert were the best part. My daughter had gone on this tour back in May and highly recommended it me for my trip. Morgan was great.
The food tour was awesome and absolutely worth the money. We did an evening tour with the other couple we were traveling with and we had a great time! Our tour guide took us to some great restaurants, best pizza and taught us how to look for authentic gelato...which was well worth it as we were spending 10 more days in Italy. Our new tradition when traveling abroad is to do food tours and this was our second and we enjoyed it.
Our guide - Jess was fabulous! Her Enthusiasm, food and beverage knowledge, passion and ability to get everyone engaged in the tour and to have a great time was amazing. I would do the tour again in a heartbeat.
