Great excursion. No one else signed up so we had a private tour. Our guide, Erwin, was terrific. He took us to the beach, shopping and all over both sides of the island. We would definitely recommend this excursion to anyone.
Paul was our guide for this excursion. He was very nice and knowledgeable. There was a lot of damages from the hurricane but it did not take away the beauty of this island. We enjoyed the Maho Beach experience, sight seeings, and local foods. We went to Friar Beach instead of Orient Beach. We stayed here for about 2 hours before heading back. The beach was nice, quite, and clean.
Maynard the driver was very friendly and informative. We got to see the whole island and learnt a lot. We had to deviate from the tour slightly due to hurracain damage but Maynard made sure we got to see the keys attractions.
Was on Oasis of the Seas coming into SM. At cruise port, lots of other excursions leaving, so look to the far left and you will see a little white tent and guard and some tour operators. This is where we found our guide. Since our ship came into SM late, we were the only people on the tour my family of five with wife/I and three teens. Oasis was one of the first ships back to SM after the hurricanes. Got to say that the French side of SM is still largely destroyed. We were not allowed on Orient Beach due to the rubble, and the French town was largely closed. We highly enjoyed the Maho Beach with the airplanes coming in, and the beaches and shops at Phillipsburg. Our tour guide did a great job giving us the history of the island. He was amazing.
Excellent
My sister and I ended up being the only ones on the tour which meant we received a personalized tour of St. Maarten/Ste. Martin. It was great! We spent as long as we wanted at Orient and Maho beaches and had plenty of time to browse the shops in Marigot. Our guide was excellent and we really felt taken care of all day. Loved it!
Paul was AWESOME! The other family that was supposed to be on our tour was running late but he didn't make us wait. He had another tour guide wait for them which was great. He took us all over the Island and answered any questions we had. We have an 8 year old so he made sure to do things to entertain her. He made sure to take us to a calmer beach so she could swim and he cleaned the sand from our shoes while he waited. He really went the extra mile to please us. He provided a cooler full of drinks and informed us that it was expensive at certain places to help us save money. Paul made the most of our time and helped us enjoy the island to the fullest the whole entire day. Everyone on the island knows Paul and I'm sure it because he is so AWESOME! I hope to see him again one day :- I absolutely recommend this tour! The Martin Family
