The tour started great lots of information about the Eiffel Tower but half of the tour ended up being information about Paris. The tour guide ended up talking about all the large buildings in Paris. What they were used for and what they are used for now (I booked a separate tour for that). First and last time I use this tour company.
The tour guide was polite and on time and kept to her script. The information provided was mediocre at best with little information about the Eiffel Tower itself. Our voucher didn't indicate the meeting site and after going through security for 40 mins we contacted the tour operator, Blue Fox Tours, who informed us that the meeting point was approx 1 block away and we would have to exit the secured area and re-enter with the tour group. The security lines at the Eiffel Tour are extremely long and there is no skip the line. I inquired if it was possible to meet the group in the secured area and was met with sarcasm and how busy her day was since she had to cancel multiple tours of Notre Dame which caught fire 2 days prior. After agreeing to her term we met up with the group and found out that there were 4 other families in our tour and one of whom was in the security line with us. It seems as if all the families had difficulty finding the meeting location, which was not listed on any of their vouchers, and where met with hostility by the Blue Fox Tour owner as I experienced. I feel that Blue Fox Tours need to improve a great deal, specifically the owner.
We selected this tour because is was skip the line and tower access. If we had it to do again, I would buy a ticket for skip the line and tower access, without the tour guide. Nothing against the guide, but we just wanted to go to the top. She helped us but I didn’t want to listen. When we broke away, there were only 3 left of the 14 or so who started with her. As far as I was concerned, the tour could have ended at the second level. She did a great job (and humorous) getting us to the second level.
What a great experience and being able to walk right in was great. Learned so much and enjoyed so much the ability to go to the top and still have as much time as we wanted there,
This was a great tour! Our tour guide, Benjamin was friendly and knowledgeable. He kept the group engaged in the tour the whole time. We learned about the history of the tower and the city. The views were spectacular! We went at night and saw the whole city lit up, absolutely beautiful. I would definitely recommend this tour.
Martini of Blue Fox Tour contracted by Viator was fabulous. She met us and we walked right to the Eiffel Tower without a problem and it was crowed. She was very informative and fun. I recommend this tour.
this was a great experience. Easy meeting location that was a quick walk to security for the eiffel tower. We wer able to go through the group entrance, and then straight into an elevator. Great experience!
Well worth the money. Our tour guide was wonderful, very knowledgeable, spoke many languages and was on time. We did wait in a small line, but NOTHING compared to the line for tickets. I'd love to do this tour again.
Pay attention to the voucher that tells you to meet your guide at a building, not at The Eiffel Tower itself. That building is about a block from the Eiffel Tower. With all the security around the tower, if you come to the tower from the wrong direction, it can be hard to get to the address where you meet your guide. In addition, the voucher advises arriving a few minutes before the tour start time and states that the guide will always be there five minutes ahead of time. This was not the case for us guide actually arrived a few minutes late. That all being said, our guide was delightful sadly, I can't recall her name and did a nice job sharing with us the history of the Eiffel Tower, as well as the points of interest around the tower. The tower wasn't terribly crowded on this day, so the skip the line advantage was not as great as it usually is but was still a benefit. Overall, this was a pretty good experience.
I unfortunately went up through a horrific rain storm, but I know with sunshine this would have been stunning. Although tours are rain or shine, I do think discounts should be available for horrific weather conditions. This is the only unfortunate part.
