Brilliant
This tour took us by boat from Sorrento to Capri. Overall, the time on the boat was great... great captain Giovanni, stopped at sights like the blue grotto, stopped for a swim, etc. Capri was also lovely and we had plenty of time on the island. What was not so great was the lack of communication !!!! We were picked up in Naples for bus transfer to the Sorrento tour location. In Sorrento we were dropped on a street corner with a please wait here. After about 15 minutes of standing and another 3 buses unloading people in the street, we were walked to the tour location about 10 minutes away... still no explanation of process or timing... anyway, we were picked up at 8:30 but it was about 11 by the time we actually got on the boat. Getting home afterwards was similarly frustrating as we sat around to find out how / when we would get home. Having said that, I'd still do the tour rather than catch the big ferry over to Capri and miss the small boat experience, the grottos, the swim, the cruise completely around the island... the boat part of the tour was worth the frustrations - just be prepared to spend some time standing around without being kept in the loop. Obviously they have their process, and ultimately we got the tour we booked, just don't expect it to run like Disneyland... go with the flow, expect some delays when it seems like nothing is happening, and you'll end up having a pretty nice day.
Enjoyed the boat trip very much. Highly recommended. Sights and information on the tour was very good. That leaves four hours or so on land for you to explore Capri yourself. I had a very nice meal on the Island during that time. Tour radio supplied to get further information at certain spots.
Everything was very good organized! Very polite people. The driver, the skipper. Only the price was a little bit expensive compared to the price at the port.
Capri is absolutely gorgeous - and Luigi boat tour guide was amazing. We stopped twice to swim once before stopping at Capri and once on the way back home. We also had about 3 hours to explore the island. I would do this tour again in a heart beat. The only bad thing about the this tour was the driver who picked me up in the morning. He decided he wasn't going to take me back to Naples after the tour - and left me stranded at a random hotel in a random town about an hour or so away from Naples. My choice was to take a taxi to the nearest train station - or have the taxi take me back to Naples, which cost about 80 Euros. Not good at all.
