Martina was fabulous and gave us knowledge that she's acquired over her life. She showed us private photos and shared personal experiences with survivors and relatives of the SS. It left a impact I will never forget.
Our tour guide Fransziska was an incredible wealth of knowledge, probably spoke English better than me (I'm American), and could elaborate with unique stories and deeper levels of information on every part of the camp and for about question we asked. Probably the best tour I've ever been on. I personally could have used another 30-60 minutes, but overall it is structured, moves efficiently, and you see all of the pertinent areas.
Went on this tour by myself. I enjoyed it very much. My guide was Stefan. He was very informative and even asked us questions. Mind you this concentration camp was a work camp not a death camp so not the same effect as auschwitz. Also get to see the SS shooting range which something else. To hear the story of the shooting of so many Russian soldiers. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
This was an absolute humbling experience. My daughter and I came to Germany specifically for the concentration camps, and the tour definitely did not disappoint. Our tour guide was Gordon and he was simply amazing! His knowledge was outstanding. He taught us specifics about the camp that we had no idea even happened. He went above and beyond for us on this tour. I highly encourage others to take this tour and definitely book with Gordon!!
The bus tour to Dachau was very humbling. We are very glad we took this tour, despite the somber atmosphere of the location. Our guide, Fredrika, was amazing - she told us so many interesting details about the camp that we wouldn't have learned from just reading the plaques and information in the museum. We also were very happy that the tour included the SS shooting range as well. It was another piece of the history of the camp that is important to include on tours. We highly recommend taking a guided tour of this camp as it gives you such a better understanding of the location. Hearing from a resident of Dachau also made it more authentic.
