Dachau Memorial Site Tour
It may be difficult to imagine, but Dachau, the quaint village in Upper Bavaria, was actually home to so many atrocities during World War II. But for history buffs, or for anyone who just wants to learn and get a better understanding of everything that happened during the war, then this tour is a good place to start. Travel through Dachau, and uncover the history of the Nazi concentration camps there. Once you arrive at Dachau, you’ll be met by a guide who will walk you through one of the remaining concentration camps. Here, you will have the opportunity to learn about the harrowing experiences the prisoners of war had to go through. You’ll learn about the torture methods, medical experiments and mass executions that happened in the very grounds you’re walking on. After the tour, watch a documentary about the lives of the victims of the war, and their lives inside the concentration camps, and get a chance to go around the museum too. After a heavy morning, you get to take a breath, meditate and pause for a while as you’re taken to the memorial site, where you have some time to reflect on your own. After some time, you’ll be taken to a bookstore and a cafeteria for some lunch, then you’ll finally make your way to the SS-Shooting Range. A heavy experience - but definitely one that can teach you more about the history of war, one that will leave you with a better understanding of everything that happened during the Nazi regime.
