We had a great time. Clive the tour guide was funny and informative. Liverpool was surprisingly different than I expected. I highly recommend this tour for a fun fab day!
No problems with the first class Virgin Train and the full day Beatles Tour. On our printed form the meeting point was very unclear just stating Euston Square Station at 6.30am. The day before I checked Euston station where the trains departs from and noticed it was rather large but noticing the ticket area would be a good meeting place. We arrived at the small Euston Square Station well before time and thinking that because it was small it would be easy to see people. At 6.30 no one showed so ran to the close by Euston station going straight to the ticket area where a lady and a small group with printed tickets were standing. She explained that my ticket was not her companies and directed me to a non descript lady standing close by. She had no uniform, no flag or whatever you are supposed to look for. The young lady was very informative and we made the train in time. I showed her the printout saying Euston Square Station as the meeting place to which she said that it would looked into. Viator, designate clearly the meeting point, no station name mistakes and have your staff wear a distinctive company logoed vest.
Life long Beatles fan and added a trip to Liverpool with in London with my family for the week. Two of my children (young adults) went and it was a blast. Did the First class version and it was the way to go! Overall fantastic and highly recommend even for those one or two non devoted Beatles fans. Liverpool was gear!
Being Beatles fans for many years, this whole day to Liverpool was such an amazing experience for us. The Beatles museum, bus tour and ending in the Cavern was just over the top for my husband and me. We loved every minute of the entire day! First class travel by train was also a great choice!
This is the second time I do the tour so I obviously enjoyed it. I imagine the tour directors are aware that there will be many who repeat, so it would be nice if Jay updates his spiel and perhaps the itinerary. The first time I went was in 2016 and again in 2019. Everything seems pretty much the same. I qualify that this is a suggestion, not a complaint by any means. And oh, wouldn't it be nice if Jay maybe took along his brother Holly to talk about that other famous Liverpool band from long ago, FGTH. I know, wishful thinking. haha
Is a great experience., even though at beginning was a little stressful due to, they said to be there before 6:30am and nobody shows at that time until after 6:30am. We were there at 6am and nobody could help us. After they show up, everything else start to go smoothly. I recomend this tour.
We chose first class on the train which included breakfast on the way to Liverpool and dinner and drinks on the return. It was a relaxing way to enjoy the English countryside. Our tour guide at the station in London was very thorough in giving instructions on what to expect during the day and how to catch the return train. The tour included free time to explore the Beatles museum and other sites. In the afternoon there was a 1.5 hour guided bus tour of all the Beatles history with plenty of stops for picture taking. You could get off the bus and get up close for nice pictures. Both the driver and a guide offered history and stories on the beginning of the Beatles. When the tour was over the bus dropped you off near the Cavern Club where the Beatles frequently played. This was awesome with lots to see and souvenirs to purchase. You could have drinks while listening to the live music. You had the rest of the afternoon/evening to shop or sight see before catching the train back to London. I highly recommend this tour. Be prepared though because it is a very long day and you cannot take an earlier train back.
Took the train from London with easy check in with Viator. Walked to Beatle Story and enjoyed the museum, lunch at Pizza Express, and the bus tour of homes, schools, and church of each one of the Beatles. Saw the neighborhoods where they all grew up, including Penny Lane. Finally a visit to the Cavern for a brew. It was a special day and I recommend it to all Beatle fans.
Absolute must to see and do even if not a diehard Beatles fan. A do-it yourself tour and a bit vague getting tickets and information at Euston but all ok in the end. Mersey Docks and the Beatles Exhibition fantastic..be prepared to spend a lot of time there. Magical Mystery Bus Tour great but VERY limited time at each location so be prepared to race around. Train takes a couple of hours either way so a very long day but SOOO worth it
We book the first class train, I had done this tour before and I got a real good breakfast and diner, because it was the weekend they dont serve the breakfast or diner, instead they gave out coffe and muffins and not even good muffins dissapointed about this, they should have that information when you are booking. I could have had something to eat before boarding. Not worth the upgrade. But the Beatles Story and the Magical Mystery tour was Great
Oh my gosh! What can I say about this tour????? FANTASTIC! Up super early, get on the tube, head to Euston Rail Station, and 2 1/2 hours later you are walking through the streets of Liverpool. The street signs are really easy to follow,,head to Albert Dock and you are at the Beatles Story, the best museum in the world for Beatles fans. The train gets to town around 9:30. It's about a 20 minute walk to the museum and then you will have a good 2-3 hours to see all there is, shop for souvenirs, and grab some lunch in their cafe. At 2:00, you board the bus for the Magical Mystery Tour...Penny Lane, Beatles childhood homes, Strawberry Field iron gates, and lastly, The Cavern on Mathew Street. You can actually sit an listen to performers in The Cavern as you sip a drink or grab a sandwich before you head back toward Lime Street Rail Station for the train ride home at 6:30. The William Gladstone pub is right across the street from the end of Mathew Street...super cheap fish and chips and really good. It's a fantastic tour to take. The day is filled with everything you would want to see of the Beatles and their hometown.
