A very busy day for the bus tour company, being Christmas Day, not much is open in London and not much public transport. We were collected at our hotel which was a great start to our Christmas Day away from home. We were taken back to the bus depot, and there were so many cues for various bus trips, we were just amazed. We cued for what seemed like ages, but were finally on our way, on the right tour! We arrived in Canterbury having a short walk to the Cathedral from our bus. We arrived at 10 to 11 in time for the 11am service. This was the most beautiful thing to do on Christmas Day - the service was just lovely, being taken by the Archbishop!! After the service, we had a short walk around the outside of the church and back to the bus to go to our next stop, Christmas Lunch! This venue was so busy with other bus loads of Christmas tourists - we were all in a very small room, which was rather a shame, but the buffet Christmas lunch was extremely delicious! We all decided not to be Christmas grinches, and enjoy our lunch, which we thoroughly did! It was wonderful that this lunch facility was even available to us on Christmas Day! We then boarded our bus for a very enjoyable trip to Dover, which was just beautiful. We had time for photos and a walk on the beach to collect a few shells! Our trip back took us across the road from our hotel, which was a perfect ending to our Christmas Day! Thank you for a lovely Christmas Day!
