My only problem was that we did the blue route one night and they left us off at different stop then we got on, causing us to have to walk a distance to get back to our B and B. Other then that, it is a great way to see the city.
The tour was excellent. Nick our tour guide was funny and very engaged with the tourists. The bus stops were very near to all areas of interests and there were staff ready to assist in every bus stops....get this when you go to London...
Well run company. Everything was as promised. Courteous employees and knowledgable guide. Bus was clean and well maintsined.
The Big Bus tour was fantastic experience and a real pleasure the only problem the stop nearest us was a long walk
Everything went well. The tour gave us a great overall view of the city and its attractions. It was well worth the money.
Inconvenience, I am not able to walk the 20 minutes to get to the big bus n it stops after 5pm. In Paris it operates later. I paid for the ticket , but arrived too late. Taking a cab to get to transportation n back to hotel gets costly. Big bus not allowed free run of streets in London.
London was great! We enjoyed all the stops and history of the city. Wish the weather couldve been more cooperative.
It is the only way to see any city on your first days there. You get to know where you want to go and how to get there. Excellent staff on all our trips.
I like this a lot. Had a chance to see most of London. There are so many good options. I like the red (but too crowded) and blue line.
A very good service with plenty of buses and good routes. Good value for money, especially with the added river cruise.
Overall we had a positive experience with the hop on hop off buses. The buses were clean and comfortable and came frequently. We either had an audio guide or actual person which was helpful. One of our guides, Ian the New Zealander, was particularly funny. We used the buses to either see the sights of London or stop off to go Hyde Park, The Victoria and Albert museum and the London Eye.
Reliable on the red loop but not the blue loop. Left us stranded with a 40 min wait. other buses seem to be in better supply
Ride it to tour the city and visit London Eye and Westminster Abbey and numerous other places. Great service. Buckingham Palace stop and several routes. The best.
Even though traffic is horrendous in London, I highly recommend this bus in order to see and hear all of the history behind London's iconic buildings. If you have a voucher make sure you get a printout when you board the bus if you are planning on doing the boat ride later otherwise they will make you go back and get an actual printout.
Although we had a few detours due to street shut downs, it was very very nice. Plan on doing it again when we return. Soon I hope!
We bought a 48-hour ticket which included the bus, a walking tour and a river cruise. There are a total of 4 bus tour routes and we did two of them which took us around most of central and west-central London. We didn't have time to do the walking tour, but talked to others who had done it and they all said great things about it. The river cruise was great and nice way to see London from another perspective with some terrific photo opportunities. If you've never been to London before (or even if you have and just want to enjoy it again), this is a great way to see it.
The Big Bus operation in London is hands down one of the easiest ways to get around. But what impressed me was how friendly the folks associated with Big Bus were, drivers, commentators on the Red Line (downtown London). Highly recommend this as the best means for moving around to the various London attractions with no fuss and no muss.
We had the best time using this tour,we got a 2 day pass which included a river cruise, this is the best way to see London,if you dont want to walk in the heat.We used all the different routes available to us and we had a great time, busy at times but you have to put up with that, considering the amount of people.Great way to see London.
Traffic was awful so made the buses very slow. Still helpful to see the highlights. A lot of cross overs and duplications on the different routes.
The worst experience. We ended up walking instead of taking the bus. Overcrowded, bus stops hard to locate.
The Red bus took over 2 hours to get to London Eye from The Buckingham Palace due to long waiting time. The Orange Route bus went from stop 4 to in the 30’s didn’t stop at 11 and 20 and made no announcement. Most of the tour guide do not announce the stop.
Just had time for the Red line but it covered a great amount of London and the live tour guide was great.
See the sights the easy way. This is a well organized bus tour with onboard headphones and / or a live commentator. Maps are readily available and easy to figure out. The busses are marked different colors to help identify the routes. Also included in the price is a river cruise and a walking tour. We rode all the routes and did the river cruise
we had previously used hop-on hop-off in Australia..found out its a great way to see a new city and this was no different.. plenty of staff people at each stop, very helpful... great narratives of the local area from very knowledgeable people.
It was a great pleasure to see London on the Big Bus. The stops are in convenient locations. The buses run very often--We never had to wait longer than 5-6 minutes. The commentary is easy to follow and rich in information. It is a great deal!
The bus tour and the river cruise itself was nice. One of the conductors would not accept the app on my phone and insisted that I go to the internet café and print off the booking when your website said it was fine to upload onto your phone.
Then we went back to spend time at various stops. The audio guide is helpful as well as the actual tour guide comments. Worth the money.
Brilliant service right from start to finish. The drivers are very helpful and understanding, the live guides were full of humour.I can do it all over again !!!keep up the good service
It was good, but it seemed like some of the other bus tours had buses running more frequently at stops. If I were to do it again I’d pick the Original bus or Golden tours. If you are going in winter bus tours are not heated and it can be quite cold so layer up.
This is a great way to see London. We really enjoyed getting off and on as we please and seeing the major sites in London this way. We do this in most cities, but it is exceptional in London. Loved it.
Hop on hop off in London was a disaster! Audio didn't work, overhead speaker didn't work, operator didn't call out the stops so we even knew where we were! Appeared as if the 2nd floor operator was charging more to go to the 2nd floor! Decided to go on the1/2 hour river cruise on the Thames which was included and had to wait in line for 2 hours! Wasted 1 of my only 2 days in London! We were not happy at all and it was a sad introduction to a city I've wanted to go to all my life!
We were disappointed as this was just bus service and not a tour. We were traveling at such a high speed that you couldn’t take a picture if you wanted to.
