Your driver will pick up you from your hotel in Kochi or Ernakulam by 8:30 AM and drive to the Athirappilly.

Athirappilly is known for its scintillating waterfall with a height of over 80 feet. This breathtaking waterfall joins the river Chalakudy that is 5 km from the hill station Valparai. Valparai is famous for its serene tea-estate and it is also the proud habitat of elephants. The highest density of the enormous Indian elephants is found here. Geographically, it is also an important corridor between Parambikulam and Malayattur.

On arrival Athirappilly enjoy the mesmerizing view of Athirappilly Falls followed by a delicious lunch at a luxurious resort/restaurant. After lunch you will visit another waterfall called the Vazhachal Falls. The Vazhachal Falls is also a part of the Chalakudy river with a wide variety of colorful flora and herbal plantation. This plantation is maintained by the forest department of India. After a heartfelt trip to the Athirappilly and spending the whole day in the nature, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the evening.

This was an excellent trip. We saw both sets of waterfalls. Even in the dry season they were very impressive. The Vazhachal falls are easy to reach and get close. The Athirappilly falls require a longer walk but on a good path. However to get good photos you need to walk over the rocks. Lunch was superb. It was at a local restaurant. We ate Keralan style off a banana leaf. The food was varied and explained. The view from the restaurant of the falls was tremendous. Can thoroughly recommend this trip.

The guide was ill-informed and only took me to the places all the other tourists mostly school kids where also visiting. I was under the impression, that a private tour would have meant a more exclusive visit of the area. I could have just taken a local taxi and driven there myself. For the price, a couple of hours standing by the falls and a half decent lunch was extremely OVERPRICED!!!

Excellent tour of Athirappilly Falls, with a stop to see a suspension bridge. Our tour guide Roy was brilliant and the lunch was great. My travel companions and I throughly enjoyed the day.

Very knowledgeable tour director, great value for money and the weather was beautiful. Followed by the biggest included lunch I've seen, unfortunately I did not like most of it but that's completely my taste rather than the quality they provided. The driver was incredible, he later became our driver for the rest of our holiday- very reliable, punctual and friendly.
