Pass By: Dong Xuan Market, Dong Xuan and Hang Chieu Sts., Hanoi 10000 Vietnam

Established in 1889, Dong Xuan Market is housed within a four-storey Soviet-style building on the northern edge of Hanoi Old Quarter. It’s also known as Hanoi’s largest indoor market, offering a wide range of goods such as fresh produce, souvenirs, accessories and clothing, as well as electronic and household appliances.

Stop At: Ta Hien Street, Hanoi Vietnam

Ta Hien is a small street lying in famous Old Quarter of Hanoi, near Hoan Kiem Lake. The street just stretch 200 meters, but it is one of the most crowded streets in Old Quarter particularly and in Hanoi generally. Ta Hien has the most specific features of both old Hanoi and modern Hanoi. It is named “international crossroad”, drawing many foreign visitors and also Hanoi people

Stop At: Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake), Hanoi 100000 Vietnam

Legend claims in the mid-15th century Heaven sent Emperor Ly Thai To a magical sword, which he used to drive the Chinese from Vietnam. After the war a giant golden turtle grabbed the sword and disappeared into the depths of this lake to restore the sword to its divine owners, inspiring the name Ho Hoan Kiem (Lake of the Restored Sword).

The area is best Fridays to Sundays when nearby traffic is banned 7pm to midnight and a public-square, funfair vibe takes over.

Belle and Alice from Crossing Vietnam, gave us a superb evening of street food dining in this amazing city. The food was wonderful. The two girls were considerate and had plenty of information to share with the 4 of us on this walking tour. It is not too long 2 of us are in late 60s to walk, and ends in the Night Markets.

Awesome tour. You def go into restaurants you'd never think twice about. They're hidden gems that are a must for an authentic experience. It was absolutely worth it!

This was probably our most favorite tour out of them all. Ellie picked us up at our hotel which was way out of the old quarter in a lovely comfortable vehicle. She took us to the coolest places to taste local cuisine and beer. We had a chance to see parts of the city we didnt know existed and to get amazing food from places we could never have found on our own. Our guide was awesome in helping us make better purchases in the night market place and all in all we ate and laughed and walked and shopped and had the best time ever. I would highly recommend anyone going to Hanoi to do this tour. I would also make sure you ask for Ellie or Rose if you want the best of the best taking you around Hanoi.....
