Day Trip From Fez To The Rif Mountains

Heading out of Fez and only an hour past Mt Zalagh into the Rif Mountains lies the ancient cross roads of Northern Africa and the hidden gem of Sidi Bouchida.

Explore The Roman fortress ruins on foot or by mule and enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the original pistes.

Find true sustainable living as you wander through the villages with homes built in the adobe style, pomegranate trees and traditional olive presses.

Here families come together to build their homes, farm their own produce, press their own olive oil which all gets shared amongst the village.

Close by is the barrage ouahada, the first man made barrage in Morocco.
