Our tour guide, Rodica, was personable and gave us lots of good information. It was a long day of driving, but we enjoyed the sites and the overall tour. Had a very good lunch of local food, and time for some shopping.

I enjoyed the trip as it was an opportunity to see another area developed by communism after the war. The mid evil castle has breathtaking views and if you allow yourself to imagine what it took to build such a massive fort, it’s impressive. The old capitol was a bit less inspiring. Where we stopped for lunch had spectacular views and the cool breezes eliminated the heat.

It was great! We visited amazing site, see local city and ate traditional Bulgarian food. Our tour guide Daniel was amazing! He is very smart, knowledgeable, and friendly. I traveled alone and he took multiple photos for me. Highly recommend this company and tour!

The trip was long and the border crossing process is time consuming. But the village, fortress, and rock monastery were all very good. The guide (Mary) was excellent, but the driver was not well trained in customer service.

Our guide Rodica was excellent She is very knowledgeable about Bulgaria, Romania and all the sites visited. She is very open for questions and gives a full answer. Would be glad to have her as a guide in the future on other trip. Driver was also good.

Although the attractions and village was worth seeing, it didn’t justify the long travel time and time spent at the border post. The company should have managed expectations better.

Our guide was amazing. She did a great job on this tour. We had a nice small group of 7 people total so we moved along easily.

Although this tour involved a lot of travelling we had a brilliant day out! Very well organised and our tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, informative, she didn't speak too long or too loudly and was so good at her job. We wanted to have lunch with her and it was one of the best meals I had in Europe. The Rock Monastery was interesting and we enjoyed our time at the fortress especially to wander on our own. Even crossing the border into Bulgaria was different and we were very lucky we did not have a long wait. We have very fond memories of the day amd would highly recommend it!

Veliko Tarnovo was spectacular. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on all aspects of the area and the other stops that we made. However, the tour guide wanted to discuss politics and his hopes of a return to the communist era just a little too much. His attitude was bordering on disrespect and contempt toward the American tourist that were present.

Rodica was our guide. She demonstrated interest in the wishes and comfort of the guests. At one point, it began to rain and we had left our gear in the tour van . Without asking, she showed up with several guests rain gear. We were at the top of a hill and this was not a small feat. She kept us informed as to what was coming so we could prepare. Rodica advised a place to eat that was perfect!!! It also had a charge station for electronics. I can’t say enough!!!! Rodica was informative but gave us space. She is truly a professional. Full recommendation for her tour. Luciano the driver was excellent and safe.

There were two of us who went in a private car and trip involved a visit to a rock monastry in the small town of Basarbovo not far from the Romanina/Bulgarian border. We also visited the old capital of Bulgaria called Veliko Tarnovo. Our Romanian guide was very knowledgeable about the locations and eventhough we visited the city on a foggy day we were still able to see spectacular views of the city and the old citadel which made the trip worth it. I would recommend visiting in summer when the weather is clearer for the spectacular views.
