This tour is a definite must! Be prepared to walk and don't forget your sunblock if it is a sunny day. Our tour guide, Stefan, made the day trip more enjoyable - he guided us through the interesting history of Ghent and Bruges with some jokes along the way! You will surely have some photos to cherish after this amazing tour. Would definitely recommended, especially for couples.
I loved both cities but 1 day for both was not enough. The castle in Ghent was excellent but I rushed through it in 40 min. Want to go back one day and take the time to appreciate it more. Bruges was nice, boat ride was fun. Our guide Laura was knowledgeable and fun.
Our tour guide, Stefan, was very good. A nice sense of humor and very knowledgeable about the cities history. Both are lovely cities to visit. In Ghent we went into St. Bavo's cathedral and saw the The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb. St. Bavo's is worth the trip to Ghent. In Bruges we ate lunch at the restaurant Stefan recommended and the staff was ready for us and got us in and out right away. The food was delicious. You could go anywhere to eat and there are some take away places if you wanted something cheaper. Bruges is a beautiful Medieval city. Stefan was insightful about the buildings and history of Bruges. You finish with a boat ride through the canal's which is narrated. We did have a bit more time in Bruges and were able to enjoy a glass of wine during free time. This tour is excellent.
Loved the tour - I felt that there was enough time for both Ghent and Brussels and the tour was seamless and well organized. Both places are really beautiful and a must-see if you're stopping around the area. Thanks Albert!
Ghent and Burges are both beautiful places. The guide was knowledgeable and nice however it was difficult to hear her during the Ghent tour (there were no head sets). This was rectified during the Burges tour. The recommendation for lunch provided by the guide Veronica was not satisfactory at all. The restaurant Viveldi, in n Bruges, had bad food and poor service. It was also very expensive. Highly recommend trying another place instead. If I had to do it again I would pick a small tour. This tour was way to big and the other individuals on the tour were pretty aggressive while claiming seats on the bus (one person elbowed my mother while getting on the bus, intentionally).
Our guide Andrea was excellent! Very knowledgeable, helpful and dealt with the group's needs throughout the tour. Ghent and Bruges are beautiful and interesting. We will definitely return to explore at some point but this day trip was perfect for the time we had. We got to do a boat trip in Bruges and for €10 it was well worth it as we got to skip the queue and was the best way to see the city. The coach was comfortable, air conditioned and had a toilet. We could not have asked for more! We'd thoroughly recommend this tour and thank you Andrea for making it so enjoyable!
good ..we enjoyed ..must visit cities ..good trip with nice guide ..nicely coordinated ...guide was nice and providing valuable suggestion
Really, tour guide Miguel made this attraction extra special. He explains matters that you need to know clearly and courteously. He is kind to all in the tour group, and just generally to all people. He knows the points of interest very well, and conveys it to the group efficiently.
I went July 28. Albert our guide was amazing !!! Alberto nuestra guía estuvo increíble!! He was very patient and acknowledged people with difficulty walking, he made sure we were engaged and he knew soooo much about the culture!!! El estuvo muy pendiente de todos y muy paciente con personas con incapacidades física. El sabía mucho de las dos ciudades
The tour guide took us to the restaurant very expensive in comparison with other restaurants in Bruges, and it was obvious that she had a contract with restaurant bill
Not what I expected. Started late, there was some confusion with the tour guide for English-speaking group. Too many tourists so hard to see all the places in a limited about of time. Good news is the bus was at least air-conditioned.
The tour led by Andrea was well planned and timed. She explained the history and present of both the cities quite well. Boat ride is highly recommendable.
It was a fun trip - Bruges and Ghent in one day. You might want to go back to Bruges and spend some more time or maybe even stay overnight. Both the cities were beautiful. I would definitely like to go back and stay over in Bruges the next trip.
In just one word; don't miss this trip; very good explanations and the guide ANDREA has enlarged my knowledge about history of bruge and ghent; i highly recommend this trip
This tour was the highlight of our stay in Belgium. Stefan was informative, witty, and did an outstanding job interacting with the people on the coach. The timing for each city was appropriate and we didn't waste a lot of time on lunch due to Stefan's suggestions.
Tour was in both English and Spanish (other group was English/French), which means the guide was given twice for each thing which wastes a lot of time. Our guide did a good job showing us around and being patient with all the people getting separated from the group and being late after each time we got some free time to ourselves. We spent only 2 hours in Ghent, but manage to see most of the main attractions (although mostly just walking by them and get some basic info about them). We got a little bit more time in Bruges (4-4.5 hours), but we didn't get to see some of the more famous places (Belfry and Halle, Basilica of the Holy Blood, Markt, Town Hall, ...). We spent the g 1st hour on lunch, then had a similar walking tour as in Ghent, and had about 1.5 hour free time at the end. You can take a 20-30mins boat tour during that time, and try and catch all the sights that you were not guided to. All in all, it was an OK tour if you don't have time to organized it yourself, but it's probably better to just take the train and join some of the free walking tours in Ghent/Bruges. The train takes you there from Brussels faster and the free walking tours will show you more of the famous sights.
Veronica knew her history, spoke clearly and was just a nice person to talk with. I would take a tour with her share n.
I loved visiting the city and our guide was very knowledgeable and nice. The restaurant in Brugge Vivaldi was not very good. The prices were high for what you got. I enjoyed the boat tour in Brugge.
Myself and 6 friends took this tour to see more than just Brussels during our visit. We met just a block from Grand Place in the center of the city. Check in was super fast and easy. Our driver was excellent and our guide was a sweetheart. She is from Bruges so she was obviously very knowledgeable. So many beautiful spots and structures to marvel. She took us to a lovely restaurant for lunch but there are other nearby places if you don’t want a sit down meal. Free time was somewhat limited but worked out ok. There is A LOT of walking, mostly on flat ground, with not much time to rest. Definitely recommend.
The trip was excellent! They took us to the most important parts and the guide Miriam she was espectacular, knew every detail you need to know of the history of Ghent and Brugges
One of the best tours ever! Would certainly visit Bruges again. Andrea our tour leader is fantastic!
It was a very good tour, we had a great guide, her name is June, we were lucky about the weather it was just gorgeous , lots of history, great food and beer. We really recommend it.
The Guide was very good and informative. The sitting arrangement in the bus should be more organized. It should not be that those in the front of the line to get in the bus occupy the best seats and hold on to them for the entire trip. Either introduce a reservation on booking or introduce a rotation with each stopover.
this was a great day trip for anyone who wants to learn a lot about these two beautiful cities. I just wished we had an hour or two longer in both.
Well organised tour. Time given for each part was sufficient. Tour guide Bruno was knowledgeable. Ghent and Bruges are both beautiful towns to visit. No complaints really.
Guide was energetic, informed, funny and tried to know his passengers so as to maximize their enjoyment.
Let me start by saying our tour guide Stephan (or Stephon not sure of spelling) was absolutely amazing! The cities along with Stephon's historical context makes this a must do. We enjoyed every aspect of this tour. My wife Cheryl and I ran into Stephon the following day while strolling Brussels and he took the time to walk us to a few more sites. What a great guy!
after reading some of the other reviews, I was worried this was going to be very fast paced and crowded trip. In fact it was quite a pleasant trip, our tour guide was exceptional, kept it fun and friendly and was quite knowledgeable on the places that we visited. There was plenty of free time to explore on our own. It involves a lot of walking but never too stressful.
Excellent very knowledgeable tour guide, very interesting trip! Weather was so-so but the experience fantastic.
This tour, without a doubt, covers some of the prettiest and most interesting spots of Belgium outside Brussels. The tour guide is friendly and provide detailed information.Be aware, however, this trip has a lot of walking. It is NOT designed for seniors or folks with walking difficulties. In this full-day trip, we were walking for 1 full hour, non-stop, for about 3 - 4 times. I was travelling with my family and my elderly parents, and needless to say, it created a bit of physical stress for both of them. We also travelled during the Christmas holidays, so be prepare for slippery grounds, uncomfortable winter boots, and lots of people!
It is a wonderful outing to this fairytale cities. Beautiful surrounding and breath taking scenery.Highly recommended.
A very well organised trip, the guide was lovely , welcoming and super funny! We learnt a lot of different things about Bruges and Ghent, would definitely recommend :)
