Vous rencontrerez votre guide à la sortie de la station de métro de Sahil. Au début de la visite, vous serez conduit par le bus pour arriver à la réserve nationale de Gobustan. La région géographique de Gobustan est située au sud-ouest de Bakou. Le sens du mot Gobustan provient de deux mots gobu (ravin) et stan (place), à savoir la région du ravin. Le mot gobu est également d'origine turque et signifie la vallée d'une rivière asséchée.
L'excursion débutera au musée de Gobustan où vous aurez l'occasion de découvrir d'anciens os humains, des outils de travail utilisés il y a mille ans pendant la période mésolithique. Ensuite, vous vous avancerez vers la montagne, afin de voir de véritables peintures rupestres dans le musée en plein air. Plus tard l'excursion continuera vers le volcan de boue qui n'est pas loin du musée national de Gobustan. L'Azerbaïdjan est à la première place dans le monde entier pour le nombre de volcans de boue. Environ 300 volcans de boue se trouvent en Azerbaïdjan, sur la rive, dans la mer et sur les îles. Pendant ce voyage, vous aurez une excellente occasion de voir ces incroyables volcans actifs de très près.

Shahin was the most excellent guide for this tour and was super knowledgeable about many topics generally about the country, city, and region. The tour of the mud hills and the park was very good, and his in depth detailed knowledge and explanations in excellent English by the way, made the whole tour. Very worthwhile and highly recommended!

Vusal was an excellent guide and he made the drive to the mud volcanoes and Gobustan National Park both incredibly fun and informative. We would recommend him and his colleague who drove to anyone wishing to see the incredible Petroglyphs in the region just south of Baku. Absolutely would recommend this tour to friends and family.

AWESOME! I don't know how long this secret will last actually the beautiful secret of Azerbaijan to be honest! - so while it does, GO FOR IT! A great, off the beaten track tour that is one of a kind. Our driver was great, it felt like a local tour with true local information... something you don't always get these days. We loved the mud volcanoes and the Gobustan National Park was like an added bonus! Great all around tour - highly recommend.

A lot of driving for a few sites. The mud volcanoes were very unique and the petroglyphs were interesting.

Our trip to Gobustan and the Mud Volcanos was one to remember. My husband had food poisoning and refused to skip out on the trip. Our poor guide got more than she bargained for, as he got sick out the window on the way to the mud volcanos. why wouldn't he just skip the tour?????? the tour guide and driver were so kind and accommodating and made sure that my husband was as comfortable as possible - WAY ABOVE THE CALL OF DUTY. once we arrived to the volcanos, my husband was feeling much better and our tour guide enthusiastically showed us around terrain and made the trip enjoyable, educational and one that should not be missed.
